Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, pragmatic Quality Control (QC) / Test Engineer to champion software quality and reliability across our enterprise and mission-critical client solutions. In this role, you will design, execute, and govern comprehensive testing strategies across the full software testing lifecycle (STLC). Working in an Agile delivery rhythm, you will collaborate closely with Business Analysts and Developers to validate complex business logic, perform in-depth API inspections, and ensure systems meet strict compliance, security, and performance benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy & Execution: Design detailed test scenarios, test cases, and execution plans for manual, integration, regression, and end-to-end (E2E) testing cycles across web and enterprise platforms.
- API & Integration Verification: Validate backend services, data exchange, and API integrity using Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, or equivalent tools.
- Test Management & Defect Lifecycle: Manage test execution, test artifacts, and requirement traceability using Watermelon or similar test management platforms. Log, track, and re-verify defects to ensure timely resolution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Actively engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, working alongside Business Analysts to clarify functional requirements and developers to troubleshoot root causes and validate fixes.
- Performance & System Health: Execute baseline performance and load testing assessments (using JMeter, K6, or equivalent) to identify bottlenecks before production releases.
- Quality Governance: Ensure applications comply with strict industry standards, data protection rules, and client-specific regulatory requirements prior to sign-off.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience as a QC/Test Engineer or Software Quality Assurance Engineer in commercial IT/software development projects.
- Testing Methodologies: Strong practical mastery of manual, integration, end-to-end, and regression testing principles across the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- API Testing Proficiency: Hands-on experience with API inspection and testing tools (Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, or similar).
- Test Tools & Management: Practical familiarity with test management and execution systems (Watermelon, Jira, or equivalent tools).
- Delivery Environment: Good working knowledge of Agile/Scrum frameworks, user story analysis, and cross-team defect triage.
- Analytical Mindset: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving capabilities, and clear technical communication skills.
Bonus Points (Highly Preferred)
- Prior testing experience in Banking, Finance, Government, or highly regulated/compliance-heavy domains.
- Hands-on exposure to performance and load testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, K6).
- Familiarity with test automation concepts or basic scripting.
Why You Will Love Working Here
- Challenging Projects: Direct exposure to enterprise-grade, high-traffic, and government-compliant architectures across global markets.
- Competitive Compensation: Attractive salary package with performance bonuses and regular merit reviews.
- Collaborative Culture: Work in a transparent, disciplined engineering culture where quality is prioritized at every stage of the lifecycle.
- Career Advancement: Structured opportunities to expand your skills into test automation, performance engineering, and QA leadership.
